      Is an online gathering of people reflecting the beauty and diversity of Richmond, coming together to build relationships by sharing our stories, exchanging ideas, listening to and learning from each other, fostering goodwill and understanding.

Mission:  
    •Create a place for people to gather to build relationships based on understanding, acceptance and trust, breaking through isolation, offering hope and practical support.

Vision:
    •To celebrate the good things that are happening in our community; the everyday miracles and many acts of kindness.

   •Be a welcoming, informative, relevant site, making it easy for people to find valuable information, connect and communicate with each other.

    •Support faith-based and not for profit agencies and business sponsored charitable events by providing tools and space to facilitate communication, understanding and collaboration.

    • Serve as many people in the community as possible, offering practical content, resources and support for getting through daily challenges and opportunities to help them discover and realize their goals and dreams.

Strategies:
    •Encourage people to share their stories by contributing content, exchanging ideas, offering information and expressing opinions and concerns on the message board.

    •Spotlight people, groups and businesses who are making a difference in our community…inspiring people and giving them information about where and how they might get involved.

    •Support faith-based and not for profit organizations by providing: youth pastors blog, calendar of events and additional featured stories, pastors corner, content opportunity and ticketing service.

    •Reach people by featuring separate sections speaking to specific interests and needs; free classified ads, coupons, various resources.  For business owners – the work of Barbara Sher, small business directory, marketing information.  For Families – fun activities, practical information, building a network on support on and off line.

   •Create and maintain important directories and guides featuring physicians, health care providers, churches, businesses, restaurants, small businesses, libraries, schools and local information.

   •Welcome people new to the Richmond area – giving them practical information; an opportunity to find their place, to make Richmond home.

We are inspired by the great things that are happening in our community.  We are rich in wonderful people doing ordinary and extraordinary things – making an incredible difference in the lives of many. SpotlightRichmond.com was created to serve you…to listen…to tell these stories…to facilitate communication.  Together….joining our voices and supporting each others causes and dreams…we can do even more – releasing a tremendous force for good in our community.
