Local Treasure Award

This is your opportunity to honor or thank someone who has made a difference in your life.  It doesn't have to be a long story.  It can be a few sentences; who this person is and how they have blessed, inspired or encouraged you.

We see this as an opportunity to encourage each other and give evidence to the simple acts of kindness and daily miracles that are happening each day.

Some of the kindest people I know would not want to be recognized.  They think they are bringing glory to themselves or "tooting their own horn".  I don't see it that way.  I think it's important that we take the time to be grateful for the good things (and sometimes not so good things) that are happening in our lives. 

Stories about people who are living kindness are inspiring and can increase our faith, give us hope and courage.  They are stories that need to be shared. 

You can participate in any way you (and your kind person) would prefer:

• Send a short story (you may include a picture)

• Send the name of the person and a few sentences telling us how they have blessed, inspired or encouraged you.

• Send us their name - and we'll list them in the directory - no details needed.

In Memory ... we understand that someone who has touched your life may be deceased.  You can honor them in any of these ways too.
